[She's going to try not to clatter around too much in case kitty's under something.

The poor thing is actually huddled under what was Tsukasa's bed, though, curled in a white ball in the back corner of the gap between the bed and the floor.

[ and he's halfway under it with a hand outstretched and making some calming, encouraging noises, but without moving too fast or trying to force her ]

[She's hesitant, but eventually she'll slink up enough to rub her face against his hand, flipping over on her side.]

Found her?

[ just petting for a few moments before slowly gathering her up and scuttling his way out from under the bed ]

In one piece, and everything.

I figured she would be, she's just mad.

[ cuddling this kitty up to his chest ]

She seems alright to me.

At me, not you.

Well, now you can make up with her.

Once she's cooled off, maybe. I've seen what she does to Tsukasa-kun for bothering her.

[Moving past to make up that bed, with a little hesitation.]

Mm, we'll see.

[ he'll go back to sitting on your bed and just watching you, rubbing at these here kitty ears ]

[She's mostly just trying to focus on getting things reorganized for now, not spending too long on one thing so she doesn't have to think too hard.]

[ eventually this kitty will be transferred from his lap onto your pillow and he'll get up to follow you around ]

Anything I can help with?

It's mostly a matter of straightening things up, and ... making it look less empty in here.

. . . Come stay with us, then. We have another room, and you wouldn't be the only girl there.

[Shaking her head a little.]

I couldn't.

You'd be more than welcome to.

You haven't even asked anyone else you live with, and Yuriko doesn't get along well with dogs, remember?

We don't ask when camp assigns people to our cabins, either, but fair enough. It's just . . . I know how lonely it gets, being by yourself all the time.

All the more reason to give them a choice, I'd think.

I've done it before, I'll just have to do it again. I should get used to it, it's better that way.

I'd be lying if I hadn't said the same exact thing before. And yet, here I am.

Well, I mean it. They're not coming back just for me, I better get used to things on my own.

[ I hope you realize you're saying this to someone who will be spending most of the rest of his life alone ]

You don't know they won't.

The only reason we all came together again before was because we were all chasing after Tsukasa-kun. Daiki-san came back, but only because he was looking for him. Not for me.

I'm a little bit smarter than I look. Nothing they do has anything to do with me. [And that sounds pretty final.]

Maybe they will come back. Maybe they won't. But that doesn't mean you have to cut yourself off and force yourself to be alone. You still have the opportunity to get out and go places and meet new people. You still have the opportunity to travel wherever you want once you leave here.

I have to get used to not having any of them here at all, and coming back here and being alone. You can think I'm ridiculous, but it's harder than it sounds.
